Earlyspeed- you really seem to know horseracing. How do you learn the basics for betting it without ever going to the track?

There's alot of books out there, any of them good?

To me it seems like in the end you just really need some "inside info"

If you are a novice bet win place show only

Ask any trainer on the backstretch and they will tell you their horse has a shot. Unless a race is crooked from the get--the winner usually has something in his past performances that will tip a win.

Dog

Best way to bet imo is right on the nose if the price is short and win place show if the price is long.

Exotics is a whole different ballgame that requires nerves of steel and a big bankroll.

I love the sequence bets-(pick 3 pick 4 etc.) but always seem to get screwed.

The track is sloppy today at the Spa so the turf races are gone. That leaves woefully few opportunities to score.

My advice?? If you see a listed horse going off at big balloons put whatever sheckels you can afford to lose and hope for the best!!!
